Lead-lined doors and frames, lead-glass viewing windows and mobile shielding walls. Every piece was made to measure for the room it stands in today.

-

Control room with two lead-glass windows
Two lead-glass viewing windows, set at an angle to each other in the walls of a control room. Each pane sits in a metal frame, made to the structural opening and set flush in the reveal.
-

Three-panel mobile radiation shielding wall
A mobile radiation shielding wall of hinged, white-coated panels on a wheeled base, with a viewing window in a stainless steel surround set into the centre panel. Opened out at an angle, it stands unsupported.
-

Lead-glass window and lead-lined door in one wall
A wide lead-glass viewing window and a radiation shielding double door, both made to the dimensions of the wall they share. The window and door frames match in construction and finish, and the reveal beneath the window is built out as a shelf.
-

Single-leaf lead-lined door with a viewing window
A single-leaf door with a square viewing window in a stainless steel surround. The leaf and frame share the same anthracite finish and were built as a matched set for that opening.
-

Lead-lined door faced in brushed stainless steel
A door leaf fully faced in brushed stainless steel, hung in a dark painted frame. Hinges, handle and lock are handed to suit this opening, since the hanging side dictates all of the ironmongery.
-

Double-leaf lead-lined door with a wood-effect finish
A double door for a wide opening. The active leaf carries the handle and lock, while the narrower inactive leaf stays bolted until the full width is needed. The leaves have a wood-effect finish and the frame is metal, painted dark grey.
